We are a kitchen remodeling service built for the strangest market in the Midwest: one metro, two states, and five separate authorities deciding what a kitchen project needs before anyone lifts a tool. Most firms treat that as small print. We treat it as the job.
What we do
Kitchens, only. Full remodels, cabinet refacing and replacement, countertops, flooring, backsplashes, islands, wall removals and basement kitchenettes, across eight cities on both sides of State Line Road. Because we work one room and one metro, the rules that govern that room are not an afterthought for us — they are the first thing we check before a number goes on paper.
How we work
Every estimate starts from the address, because the address decides the rules. A cabinet swap in Overland Park needs no permit; the same job with a relocated sink in Kansas City, Missouri means an interior remodel permit, drawings, and a separate application for each trade. Quoting a kitchen without knowing which of those worlds it sits in is guessing, and a guess is what turns a mid-project budget surprise into a stopped job.
Trade work is carried out by licensed trades. In this metro that is not a choice — remodeling licences here do not cover plumbing, electrical or HVAC, so any kitchen that moves a sink or adds circuits lawfully involves more than one credential. We plan projects that way from the start, and our quotes show which parts of the job belong to which trade.

We publish those links because verification is the fastest way to separate a licensed outfit from a doorstep quote — and a company that would rather you did not check is telling you something. Ask us which licence applies to your address and we will point you at the register that proves it.
Older homes are half this metro
Census figures put the share of housing built before 1970 above half in Kansas City, Kansas, Independence and Kansas City, Missouri. In a home built before 1978, work that disturbs paint falls under the EPA lead-safe renovation rule and must be done by a certified firm using contained practices. We raise that in the first conversation, not after demolition — it changes who can do the work and how the site is run, and in the older half of this metro it applies more often than not.
Straight numbers
Cost figures on our pages are published regional data, attributed to their source and labelled as typical — never presented as a quote for your project. The widely repeated claim that a kitchen remodel pays for itself at resale is a national average, and it does not hold in Kansas City; we say so on the page where most sites would rather you did not read it. When we quote your kitchen, the quote is itemised so you can compare it line by line against anyone else's.
Where the information comes from
The permit, licensing and lead-safe rules on our pages are summarised from the cities and agencies that set them, with links so you can read the original. Rules change; the version on your city's own site always governs. Where we could not confirm a rule at its source, the page says so rather than papering over the gap.
